Create alongside the Antigua Christian Academy team.
Explore personal stories, faith, and hope through art.
Make space for reflection through creativity and conversation.
Discover new ways to express your ideas through art.
More than a trip. A creative encounter.
I AM ART is a collaborative creative experience where people of different cultures and backgrounds create, learn, and grow together through art. It’s not about showing up, building a program — it’s about relationships, mutual learning, and being part of what God is already doing.

THE EXPERIENCE
What the team will do
Each gathering follows a creative process shaped for its people and purpose.
Create
Help facilitate a three-day after-school art camp for K–12 students at Antigua Christian Academy. Guide hands-on activities that invite students to explore ideas, express themselves, and discover new creative possibilities. Share your skills while making room for different ages, abilities, and interests. The process matters as much as the finished artwork.
Collaborate
Work alongside local Guatemalans, school staff, and your teammates to prepare and facilitate the camp. Share ideas, organize materials, and adapt activities with guidance from people who know the students and community. Working together helps create an encouraging environment where students can participate and everyone’s contribution is valued.
Connect
Build relationships with students through shared art activities and conversation, and get to know the local community through home visits. Listen, learn, and approach these encounters with curiosity and respect. Time together offers opportunities to understand one another’s daily lives and perspectives beyond the camp setting.
Reflect
Participate in daily team discussions about creativity, faith, culture, and community. Take time to consider what you’re learning from students, local collaborators, and the people you meet. Reflection helps you process your experiences, recognize assumptions, and carry what you learn into your relationships and life at home.

Antigua and Altamira
