How Visual Banners at CEIVA Helped Bring the I AM ART Themes to Life
Not every lesson is delivered through words.
At I AM ART Camp at CEIVA, large visual banners reinforced the week’s spiritual themes, visible every day.

Created by Athentikos Program Director in Guatemala, Kathlyn Chan, and missionary Liz Campbell, the banners were displayed throughout the camp space and reflected the daily I AM ART themes explored through the story of Joseph.
Visual Reminders That Stayed in View
Each day, students encountered visual reminders of the journey they were walking through: I Am Art, I Am Broken, I Am Restored, and I Am Connected.
That may seem like a background detail, but it played an important role. Visual language has power. It helps ideas stick. It helps students connect what they hear, what they feel, and what they create.

The Environment Became Part of the Experience
In a camp built around creativity, the environment matters. The banners did more than decorate the room. They helped shape it.
They created a space that felt intentional, inspiring, and unified. They signaled to students that creativity was not an extra feature of the week. It was part of how truth was being communicated from the beginning.
At Athentikos, art is not ornamental. It can carry meaning, reinforce story, and point people toward what is true.

At CEIVA, these visuals quietly helped do that work all week long, reminding students that creativity can communicate truth and point us back to God, the ultimate Creator.
