March 2026 | Guazacapán, Santa Rosa, Guatemala
Partner: Semillas de Cambio (Seeds of Change)
Participants: 9 Girls (Ages 12–14)

The I AM ART Papier-Mâché Workshop provided a creative environment in which teenage girls explored themes of identity, beauty, and purpose by creating papier-mâché fish sculptures. The workshop encouraged participants to recognize that, just as every work of art is unique, each person is intentionally created by God with value, beauty, and purpose.

Participants learned papier-mâché construction techniques while designing and decorating colorful fish sculptures. Throughout the creative process, leaders guided conversations about individuality, self-worth, and God’s intentional design for each person’s life.

As students worked, they were encouraged to reflect on the unique characteristics that make them who they are and to consider how God’s creativity is reflected in His creation. The finished sculptures became visual reminders that beauty is not found in perfection but in the care and purpose of the Creator.

For many adolescents, conversations about identity and personal value unfold gradually over time. Workshops like this plant important seeds that can continue to grow through ongoing relationships, mentoring, and future ministry opportunities.

Through this workshop, nine young girls were given the opportunity to create, reflect, and hear that they are uniquely designed and deeply valued by God. While the full impact of these messages may not be immediately visible, every creative experience contributes to a larger journey of growth, confidence, and identity formation.

The team was grateful for the opportunity to invest in these young lives through the transformative power of art and looks forward to continuing to build meaningful connections through future I AM ART workshops.
