One mission. Two expressions. Many ways to participate.

For over 15 years, Guatemala has been home to our creative mission.

That mission continues through Soy Arte—Guatemalan-led programs building on years of shared leadership in Guatemala, and I AM ART Global Experiences that invite participants traveling from around the world to collaborate alongside Guatemalan leaders.

Together, these expressions reflect the heart of Athentikos: empowering creativity, honoring culture, and walking toward wholeness—together.

I AM ART Story Lab

A cross-cultural creative learning experience focused on storytelling, media, and shared practice. Participants journey to Guatemala to listen, learn, and create alongside Guatemalan artists and storytellers—centering relationship over production and formation over output.

The Story Lab is designed for creatives who want to grow in craft while engaging story with humility, curiosity, and care.

I AM ART Experiences

Creative workshops that help people rediscover identity, process brokenness, and experience hope.

Purpose

I AM ART is the heart of Athentikos. These immersive creative experiences use hands-on artmaking, reflection, and shared story to help participants explore identity, resilience, and meaning.

Process

Rather than focusing on artistic skill, I AM ART emphasizes process over product—creating space for participants to express, reflect, and connect.

Collaboration

I AM ART experiences are developed alongside local artists and community leaders, fostering cross-cultural collaboration grounded in respect, shared creativity, and mutual transformation.

Impact

I AM ART invites participants to reflect on what they’ve created and experienced—connecting creativity to faith, story, and everyday life so the impact lasts beyond the moment.

Guatemala

We've led experiences in Guatemala since 2009. Guatemala is a tapestry of rich heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant traditions. This beauty, however, often masks the harsh reality of economic struggle. Over 55% of Guatemala’s population lives in extreme poverty. The country’s poverty and inequality rates are among the highest in Central America, with a large and underserved population, mostly rural and indigenous areas.

A Legacy of Transformation

Celebrating 15 Years of I AM ART

For 15 years, Athentikos I AM ART has empowered thousands of lives through creativity, faith, and community. What began as a single camp in Guatemala has grown into a global movement, using art as a tool for healing and restoration. This milestone is not just about looking back—it’s about launching forward. As we celebrate a decade and a half of impact, we invite you to join us in expanding I AM ART to new regions, reaching even more people with the power of creative expression. Be part of the next chapter—because transformation starts with you!
